Established: In October 31st, 1989
Objectives: To encourage more prefectural citizens to participate in international exchange by cooperating with the prefecture, cities, towns and private organizations.
To build mutual understanding and friendship between people of many nations, to improve prefectural welfare and to contribute to regional development by opening it up to the world.
Projects: 1-Planning and promoting international exchange projects
2-Supporting international exchange projects by private organizations.
3-Organizing and developing volunteers for overseas exchange.
4-Supporting exchange students, trainees and other foreign residents in the prefecture.
5-Collecting and distributing information about international exchange.
6-Projects related to migration and overseas technical cooperation.
7-Training programs for mastering foreign languages.
8-Projects related to the management of Kagawa International Exchange Center which has been placed in the trust of the Prefecture.
9-Other projects necessary to meet the objectives of this organization.
Endowment: 1 billion yen.
Recognition: Being a focal regional International Exchange Organization, Kagawa Prefecture International Exchange Association was recognized as a 'Regional Internationalization Association' by the Minister for Home Affairs on January 23rd, 1990.
